Abstract
Some predictions for the frequency and the maximum brightness variation (in magnitude) of high magnification events (HMEs) of image A of 2237+0305 are presented. Three different models for the simulations are used. If we consider the observed brightness variation of image A in August/September 1988 (Īm = 0.2 ā 0.3 mag in 26 days) the simulations indicate that it is very likely that low mass stars (< 0.1M ā) are contained in the centre of the lensing galaxy and that the effective transverse velocity between the caustic network and the source must be vT >ā 5000 km/s.
