Abstract
The Durham analysis of GMC masses is updated. It is confirmed that the 12CO : N(H2) conversion factor X is ∿ 1.5 locally and ∿ 1.0 in the Inner Galaxy (R : 5–6 kpc). The corresponding mass of molecular hydrogen inside the solar circle (R < 10 kpc) is (5.5 ± 1.5)×108M⊙)
