Abstract

Our knowledge about Supernova Shells (SNSs) is steadily increasing concerning their number, morphologies and spectra. But there is no general agreement on how to model them. Here I want to comment on their velocity fields, ages, sizes and fine structure. In particular, SN explosions may resemble splinter bombs more closely than pressure bombs; i.e. a blast wave description may be inadequate for several purposes.
