Abstract

We often utilize taxonomic hierarchy of concepts to organize knowledge bases and to reason under them. The taxonomic hierarchy can be in itself a representation of similarities between concepts, depending on our way to define concepts. For instance, placing two concepts A and B under their super concept C means that A and B inherit and share the properties of C. Thus they are considered similar and to be defined as special kinds of C
