Abstract

We have been so far (except for one section) studying exact symmetries for differential equations. The point we would like to make in this final, short, chapter, is that in real applications one is often interested not so much in solutions with a given exact symmetry, but rather in solutions which are asymptotically (in time and/or space) symmetric.
