Abstract

In this paper, some results of investigation of a round au- towave emerging and propagating in two-layer Cellular Neural Network (CNN) are presented. The round autowave is initiated by one cell. Cell phase plane properties and their influence on the autowave emergence process are considered. On the base of theoretical investigation of two- cell communication, required conditions for the autowave emergence in two CNN types are suggested. Simulating results in form of characteristic dependencies for two types of the autowave process, namely for traveling front and traveling pulse, are presented.
