Abstract

The state of the art of test tools for web-based applications is still dominated by static approaches, focussing on a posteriori link-structure reconstruction and interpretation [2],[6], e.g. to determine unreachable pages, rather than on functional aspects directly related to the application’s behaviour. As it has happened in the areas of telecommunications, evolution in this direction is however necessary in order to test applications also for their intention, rather than just for environmental accidents.
