Abstract

This chapter is devoted to the introduction of automatic director’s planning in animation generation and to the description of how to produce it. Usually, after a story has been adapted to a script, the director of the movie has to make idea about how to film the shot such that the resulted film will present the story to the audience in the most effective way. This is also valid for making cartoon films. Our computer animation generation system SWAN has to model the designing and working process of a movie director automatically, once the script (already decomposed in a series of scenes) is given.
