Abstract

One of the key technical challenges raised by the ever-closer integration between circuit-switched and packet-switched networks is address resolution of cross-network calls. In this document we describe a Pan-European project that attempts to solve the addressing problem in convergent networks using a universal, dialable number. An individual can use the number for roaming across network devices, and geographical locations.
