Plan-Based Control of Robotic Agents

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNAI,volume 2554))

Abstract

This chapter describes three autonomous robotic agents that we have realized and controlled with structured reactive controllers. The first one, described in section 6.1, is the robot office courier that we have already seen in chapter 1. Section 6.2 describes a plan-based robotic museums tour-guide and a long-term experiment that demonstrates the reliability of srcs. A robot party butler is briefly sketched in section 6.3. The chapter concludes with several demonstrations of the integrated mechanisms for image processing, communication, active localization, and object search (Section 6.4).
