Abstract
The successful operation of the e+e- colliders SLD and LEP during the last decade of the 20th century constituted the advent of precision electroweak physics testing the electroweak Standard Model to unprecedented accuracy. Especially the properties of the heavy electroweak gauge bosons, W± and Z have been determined to very high precision.
