Abstract

Brain tumors in children account for 15% to 20% of all primary brain tumors. They are the most common solid neoplasms in children, and the second most common category of pediatric tumors after leukemia [1]. Although there is wide variability in the literature, the amount of new cases per year is estimated to range between 2 and 5:100,000 children [1, 2].
