Hydrodynamic studies of oxygen, neon, and magnesium novae

In this paper we present the results of recent theoretical studies that have examined the properties of nova outbursts on ONeMg white dwarfs. These outburstsare much more violent and occur much more frequently then outbursts on CO white dwarfs. Hydrodynamic simulations of both kinds of outbursts are in excellent agreement with the observations.
