Abstract

This paper states the compatibility conditions to be satisfied for incompressible flow in slender vortices. The axis of the vortex is assumed to be parallel to the direction of the freestream, the radius of the core to be small in comparison to the length of the vortex, and the flow to be axially symmetric.
