Laser induced resonances in the MPI-spectrum of sodium atoms

Abstract

  1. 1.

    Our results show that at intensities of about 1010Wcm−2 five-photon processes which are resonantly enhanced can be stronger than nonresonant three-photon ionization processes.

    We find no evidence for “autoionizing-like” resonances in the MPI-spectrum.
