Abstract

Magnetoresistance temperature range 4.2 K - 200 K magnetic field up to 40 KG and Hall effect (50 K - 300 K, up to 10 KG) have been studied on the quasi two dimensional purple bronze K0,9Mo6O17. The results are consistent with a quasicylindrical Fermi surface and with a CDW instability inducing both electrons and holes pockets below the CDW transition. At T <T c the data are well accounted by a two band model.
