Aspects of N=1 supergravity models

The structure of low energy models resulting from N=1 supergravity theories depends on assumptions and choices made for the superpotential and Kähler potential. A review is given of those structures which have been used most frequently.

The minimal model of low energy supergravity is discussed. A review of the various mechanisms for breaking SU(2) x U(1) is given. A few interesting phenomenological features of the model are pointed out.
