Magneto-reflectance of the B-exciton of CdS
A complete lineshape analysis of magneto-reflectance spectra for the B-exciton of CdS showing perfect agreement between theory and experiment is presented for the first time. A strong difference in the Zeeman effect of the Voigt- and the Faraday-configuration is observed for H1c. Furthermore the spectra change with the sign of the magnetic field (pole-changing-effect). The g-value of the B-valence band and the exchange interaction energies — parameters unknown up to now — are determined.
