A micro-deSitter spacetime with constant torsion: A new vacuum solution of the Poincaré gauge field theory

Abstract

We study the Poincaré gauge field theory with Lagrangians of the type (curvature scalar + torsion2)/12 + curvature2/æ. Here 1 is the Planck length and æ the coupling constant of the hypothetical Lorentz gauge bosons. We find a new vacuum solution with a deSitter metric and with constant microscopic torsion ∼ √æ / ℓ and curvature ∼ ræ / ℓ2. Its curvature displays double duality properties.
