Peculiarities of the band structure of HgSe and mixed crystals Hg1−xCdxSe from the interband magnet absorption

Abstract

The interband magneto absorption in HgSe and Hg1−xCdxSe (x < 0.13) was investigated. It was found that for x < 0.01 the Pidgoen and Brown model fails to describe properly the band structure of. the material. A 5-band model was developed and successfully used by us to interprete data in HgSe, Hg1−xCdxSe (x < 0.01 and HgSxSe1−x. Consistent sets of band structure parameters were obtained for these materials
