Abstract

Photoluminescence (PL) of CdxHg1−xTe alloys (x≌ 0.3) was studied as a function of excitation intensity, temperature, the time passed after the removal of excitation and magnetic field. The typical PL spectrum was shown to consist of three bands. The longest wavelength band is attributed to donor-acceptor recombination and the other two were suggested to arise from the annihilation of the exciton bound to neutral acceptor.
