Abstract
We thus have a total system consisting of the four data structures described — Business Graphs, Maps, Images, and Merge and an undescribed Text File. A pattern has begun to merge among these applications. The basic structure appears to consist of a data file, an index into the file, and a qualifier or master index for the index and data files. When we create several images this gives a fourth structure which is the index to each image file. This structure implies a generalized data base scheme. Since these schemes exist already, we merely have to fit this structure into standard data base schemes and have access to the data base operations which already exist.
