Abstract
The wave vector of the Friedel oscillation around a nonmagnetic impurity in the one-dimensional Hubbard model is shown to be four times the Fermi wave vector (4kF). Moreover, in the presence of a uniform magnetic field, owing to the spin dependent interaction in the Hubbard model, the non-magnetic impurity is shown to induce static spin density oscillation.
