Abstract

A fast method to solve the invers-e problem of local earthquakes foci is presented. The introduction of a quadratic hyperbolic norm in space-time permits the treatment of the non-linearity of the problem by means of a simple scalar equation. The duration of the process is comparable to that of one iteration of Geiger's method. A complete analytical study is given.
