A macro facility for cobol

The British Computer Society's COBOL Specialist Group has designed a Macro Facility for COBOL for the purpose of permitting users to obtain a more up-to-date portable version of COBOL. This paper describes the facility and explores its implications. COBOL and its general availability in COBOL compilers.
