Session A Heavy Ion Potentials and Barriers
Part of the Lecture Notes in Physics book series (LNP, volume 33)

Various models for the calculation of heavy-ion interaction barriers in the sudden approximation are compared. Their relation to experimental reaction thresholds and optical potentials is discussed. The relation between interaction, fusion, and fission barriers is explained within the frame of a multidimensional model.
