Abstract
Synovial chondrosarcoma is an extremely rare malignant tumor that arises in the joint synovium. It often occurs in preexisting synovial chondromatosis with the knee being the most frequent location. The differentiation between the two conditions can be very challenging as they share many clinical, radiological, and histological features. Therefore, diagnosis should be based on a multidisciplinary approach.
