Part of the book series: Advances in Polymer Science ((POLYMER,volume 196))

Abstract

A brief introduction into the principles of the statistical description of the chemical structure of linear heteropolymers is given. A comprehensive analysis of diffusion-controlled polymeranalogous reactions is provided in terms of the statistical chemistry and the statistical physics of polymers. The interplay of these two statistical approaches is conclusively demonstrated for the discussion of the quantitative theory of free-radical copolymerization in anomalous systems. The impact of physical factors on principal regularities of interphase free-radical copolymerization has been discussed in detail.
