Abstract
We show how to combine the concepts of a Web based and a dta-driven decision support system as an effective and efficient hybrid solution. We advocate the use of linguistic database summaries, within the proposed DSS framework, for grasping the essence of large sets of data. We present an implementation for a computer retailer.
