Abstract.

As part of a wide-field CCD survey of the globular cluster systems of distant giant galaxies, we have observed a total of nine spiral galaxies in three broadband filters with the WIYN 3.5-m telescope. Here I present a description of the overall survey, discuss the status of the observations, give the results for the first spiral galaxy completed, and briefly address implications for galaxy formation models.
