Abstract.

We have discovered a planetary nebula (PN) in the globular cluster G169 of the giant elliptical galaxy NGC 5128 using the Magellan I Baade 6.5 m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory (Minniti & Rejkuba 2002, ApJ, 575, L59). Recent follow-up observations with FORS1 at the Very Large Telescope yield two additional candidate PNe possibly associated with globular clusters in this galaxy. We argue that there is vast scientific potential in the study of extragalactic globular cluster PNe.
