Abstract.

For each of the four VLT unit telescopes there are at least three instruments. Already in operation for a couple of years are FORS1, FORS2 and ISAAC. By the end of next year imaging will be possible with VIMOS and NIRMOS, NAOS/CONICA and VISIR. In Fig. 1 a schematic overview of the VLT instrumentation as of April 2001 is given together with first light dates.
