Abstract.

The COMPTEL experiment had explored the, previously unknown, MeV Sky for about 9 years. It has detected 11 AGN: 10 blazars and the radio galaxy Centaurus A. No Seyfert galaxy was detected. With these results COMPTEL opened the field of extragalactic \(\gamma\)-ray astronomy at MeV energies.
