Abstract.
Clusters of galaxies are the largest virialized structures in the Universe. In the last years the presence of a intra-cluster magnetic field has been unambiguously proven although its strength and structure are still poorly known. To investigate the presence and structure of large scale magnetic fields we are studying the rotation measure (RM) of radio galaxies and radio halos in clusters of galaxies. Here we present new results on the magnetic field estimate through RM determination in A2255 and the equipartition magnetic field derived in 4 clusters with an extended radio halo.
