Samenvatting
De medische zorg voor de hersendode patiënt die voor orgaandonatie in aanmerking komt, is van essentieel belang voor de preservering van die organen. Door adequate medische behandeling worden aanbod en kwaliteit van de donororganen vergroot. Deze behandeling richt zich op het instandhouden van de circulatie, de respiratie en de lichaamstemperatuur en op de infectiepreventie.
