Non-Imaging Radionuclide Investigations

Some 12% of nuclear medicine investigations carried out in the UK do not involve imaging and, although being replaced by methods not involving the use of radioactivity, a number of laboratory tests still utilize radioimmunoassay. The counting of samples is a neglected area and the aim of this chapter is to cover the essentials of this topic in addition to describing the actual investigations.
