The number of clinical applications for PET continues to increase, particularly in the field of oncology. In parallel with this is a growth in the number of centers that are able to provide a clinical PET or PET/CT service. The vast majority of clinical PET applications are oncological in nature but there are also important neurological and cardiological applications.
