Abstract
The Körös river system is rather complicated, with frequent rapid floods and long lasting low-water periods. The catchment area is divided between two countries (Hungary and Romania) and, therefore, collaboration between the water management agencies of both countries is essential. One of the best tools for maintaining good data transmission and exchange is the up-to-date telemetry system requiring continuing development. The following contribution describes the completed stages of the development of the telemetry system for hydrometeorological data on the Hungarian side and suggests further improvements and future developments of the system.
