Abstract
Ancient celadon samples were produced from Late Tang Dynasty to Southern Song Dynasty (850 ∼ 1279 A.D.), which were excavated in the Yue Kiln, located in the Zhejiang province of China. The elemental concentrations in body of celadon samples were determined by synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence (SRXRF). The experimental data were analyzed by clustering analysis. The statistic analysis results indicated that the elemental compositions of most celadon samples of Yue Kiln revealed provenance and ages characteristics. Furthermore, the elemental distribution of cross-section between body and glaze in one sample of Five Dynasty was analyzed. The concentrations of Ca and Mn in glaze are higher than those in body, but K, Ti and Fe are lower in glaze. Almost all of elements moved from high concentration region to lower area.
