Conclusions
In the course of the work the following has been established:
-
a)
catalysts added into graphite of the anode results in forming the new phases in the deposit. Transition metals, which are added into the carbon electrodes evaporated in electric arc synthesis of fullerenes, are present in the deposit in the form of simple or complex carbides, and solid metal solutions in these carbides;
-
b)
introduction of catalysts decreases the size of carbon particles in the deposit down to 62–80 nm.
-
c)
properties of the deposit depend on the phases formed by the catalysts introduced.
