Abstract
The columella is a relatively complex anatomical structure, which, as its name and central location at the base of the nose implies, is a column of midline tissue. This combination of cartilage, muscle, skin, and soft tissue contributes not only significant support to the midline nasal structures but also is an important aes- thetic component to the midline nose.
