Conclusions and Implications

Abstract

This final chapter puts together different pieces of evidence obtained from different methods and sources to address the knowledge gap identified in Chap. 1. With knowledge on the convergence and divergence in habitus and practices of different stakeholders regarding parental involvement as well as its effects, we will revisit the conceptual framework constructed in Chap. 3 Based on the outcomes of the models we will make recommendations for policy-makers, educators and parents regarding how and in what form parental involvement could effectively improve children’s learning in Hong Kong.
