This book is about Diabetic Neuropathy AND Clinical Practice and not Diabetic Neuropathy IN clinical practice. The title first places any neuropathic elements with or without diabetes which must be attended to. This in itself is a large area even without diabetes. If the Great Peter Dyck has to be quoted “40% of all neuropathies are likely to have an autoimmune origin,” eclipsing the toxic-, alcohol-, and vitamin deficiency-induced neuropathies with other neuropathies associated with neurological syndromes. Neuropathy with close listening to the symptoms, an examination, diagnosis, investigation, explanation, and therapeutics are rudimentary. The foundational ideas of these depressing and fatiguing conditions are far from clear in their minds. That the physician thus needs to pay special attention to it while dealing with diabetes is wanting.
