IoT Aware Automatic Smart Parking System for Smart City

Abstract

Unstructured parking and wrong positioned parking are illegal. Parking is a major issue in crowded and busy cities. It can be built with advanced sensors, IP cameras which provide smart services to the user in smart city. As there is increase of vehicles, it leads to traffic congestion. This problem can be effectively overcome by using smart parking system. Hence, we have proposed an IoT aware automatic smart parking system. The system is implemented by using sensor technologies for occupancy checking of the parking slots, computer vision algorithms for recognition of vehicle, and android application for providing user access. Through android application, user can get to know about the available slots and the amount can be deducted automatically.
