Equal Distribution Based Load Balancing Technique for Fog-Based Cloud Computing

Abstract

In the modern digital world, numerous computing technologies are growing. Fog computing is a rich computing technology existing in nowadays. Fog computing is elaboration of cloud which helps to reduce number of user requests to be passed to cloud data centers. But due to more Internet of Things (IoT) user requests, fog computing also facing issues related to resource provisioning, scheduling, energy efficiency, load balancing. These issues need to be resolved and addressed to ensure superior Quality of Service (QoS) in this computing paradigm. Distribution of load in fog computing is one of the main issues, which needs to be resolved to provide more reliability and availability of the fog environment. The efficiency of the system can be increased with proficiently distributing the workload among all processors. This paper is going to provide a load distribution algorithm for fog computing environment. It also compares the provided algorithm with present algorithms and simulation results are provided through cloud analyst tool.
