Brokers, Clouds and Databases—The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

This chapter examines some of the technical issues that are useful for the discussion of this book. The chapter begins with the suggestion that over recent decades, information technology in the form of the Internet is at the apex of technological development and cloud computing is going to revolutionize the Internet world as it is known today.
