Simulation Analysis of the Needle Traverse System of Tufting Machine Based on Simulink

Abstract

The electrical and mechanical coupling characteristics of the tufting machine traverse system are quite different, which makes it difficult to optimize the analysis. The electrical and mechanical modules of the tufting machine traverse system are theoretically modelled. According to the function transfer direction, the equivalent model of the tufting machine traverse system is integrated. Using Simulink for verification accuracy, combined with step response characteristics, the accuracy of the equivalent model was verified. When working in the high-frequency range, the elastic mode of the system is excited, causing resonance and affecting the operation of the machine. The theoretical model simulation shows that the resonance frequency of the tufting machine traverse system is about 363 rad/s.
