Teacher Education for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in China

Abstract

This chapter briefly introduces the historical background and development of the training of special education teachers in China, as well as the major events that have a material impact on the education for children with ASD in China. It outlines the training system for teachers of children with ASD and shows the relationship between special education and teaching for children with ASD from a bird’s eye view. At the same time, the content of this chapter also covers the continuing education for special education teachers in China.
