Abstract
Tunnel structure, a kind of artificial underground construction, is the result of the development of human society. In ancient times, people live in natural caves. The original artificial tunnel structures start during the ancient war period, as the transfer channels or the shelter structures. Besides, the tunnel structures are also used to be the water diversion facilities in the water conservancy project. In recent times, the tunnel structures are widely used in the mineral, traffic, and military facilities. With the development of modern traffic engineering, the tunnel structures play more and more important roles.
