Abstract

Coming to Germany as a student requires some preparatory steps which are outlined in this chapter. A confirmation of the application to a university or an admission letter is required to obtain a visa to study in Germany. The visa process is explained, as are application procedures, language requirements and administrative necessities upon arrival. Educational expenses are outlined as well. Safety of international students in Germany is touched and verifiably sketched out. A TV-Chef with an international background introduces the reader to food in Germany and how diverse it has become these days. The chapter provides first-hand information based on genuine experience and expert local knowledge.
